Block Media will host a pitching contest to connect venture capital and startup entrepreneurs who will lead the Web3 era.
On Mar. 22, Blockmedia is launching a program to support Web3 startups under the title of New Future of Web3. Block Media expands the Web3 support event on the fifth anniversary of its founding.
# Participation in VC judges such as Hashed
Starting this year, Blockmedia receives applications from promising Web3 companies every quarter and holds an event to grant pitching opportunities to VC investment judges.
Judges include VCs specializing in Web3 at home and abroad, including Hashed, Creditsend, Nonsclassic, Philosophia, Mashup Angels, Foresight Ventures, Hyper88, and Metricsport Ventures.
Startups can join hands with VCs with capital and networks, and VCs will discover future unicorns. For startups that succeed in matching, VC and Block Media will give you substantial benefits.
# Any Web3 startup can apply
The first-quarter Pitching Day will be held online on Mar.22. The application's target is a project in the field of web3, such as blockchain, virtual assets, NFT, and metaverse, and companies that have started the business for less than three years. The application deadline is Mar.12.
Companies preparing for innovative services as web2 companies can also apply. Any pre-seeded, seeded, or pre-rounded company may pitch.
The participation fee is 200,000 won (including VAT) or $200. Startups that have passed the first gateway will have the opportunity to introduce their projects to VCs. The second participation fee is 100,000 won (or $100, including VAT).
The first pitching will be conducted in English for five minutes. (Required English material attached to the application form) In the online pitching space opened separately by Block Media, you will unveil your business plan to interested VCs. VCs listen to presentations while familiarizing themselves with pre-release materials.
# Accelerating programs such as investment
Through the first pitching, VCs will conduct individual meetings with interested startup participants. Afterwards, you can benefit from full-fledged investment discussions and accelerating programs.
Participating companies will receive the following accelerating privileges.
# Support for attracting VC investment
- Block Media will interview startups VCs are interested in and connected to through secondary introductions.
- Provides special benefits when participating in Web3 events such as Block Festa
- Provide discount benefits when participating in overseas blockchain events.
- If VC investment matching is made, additional publicity in Korean/English is provided (released in English on CoinMarketCap)
